Flashing Georgie's Shorts

How do.

Just a quickie post.

I really would like to know if any of you good people are having problems accessing my other blog. That is, not loading properly, getting the infamous Operation Aborted error message, things missing, etc.

The reason that I ask, is that I'm slowly being driven insane (no pun intended) by the amount of aggravation I'm going through to maintain that particular blog, and if it keeps up, I will close it out and move it elsewhere.

Please, let me know if you have any complaints/aggravations that you're currently experiencing with my other blog, Flashing Georgie's Shorts. I do like producing content for the blog but I don't like getting aggravated while doing it. Right now, I feel like simply crying uncle and starting over from scratch.

  1. G -

If it has adult content, then I can't access it at work. I do most of my blog reading at lunchtime here and while on hold (which is a lot.) So I tend to never go to your other blog because of that.

    Also not home much...

  2. Unfortunately, I gave it an "adult content" rating. Mostly because the content of my short stories ranges from risque' to somewhat explicit (although not graphic), so I stuck that page up to head off any complaints about the offensive content.

I thank you for you honesty though. And I can understand how some businesses/companies limit what you can access on the 'net.

Just trying to see if people are experiencing problems accessing it. Nothing worse than trying to build up a blog and have people experience problems trying to get to it.

  3. No problems here accessing it but I can see where corporate, library and some public wifi that limit adult sites could impact others ability.

  4. It's not so much that (I'm used to that to begin with), but just the overall aggravation factor. I'm thinking of the average reader who happens to come across my blog while either surfing the blog catalog, blogger itself or sees a comment or a link from me on anothe blog and is curious enough to check it out.

I experience with frequency on other blogs that I visit and it's a source of frustration, especially when it's beyond the control of the blogger themselves but something more akin to the server having problems with IE and not really doing its best to fix the problem beyond suggesting to people to either move their "followers" widget down or remove it all together.

  5. I've never had a problem with your content warning button or accessing your shorts blog.
I use Internet explorer on a Windows PC.
Probs may be due to system, browser, security settings, network, or ISP provider. I tend to always suspect internet settings in weird cases-

I've had zero prob getting here, just need more free time for reading!

  6. I'm pretty much sure its a combination of IE and the web host. I've been able to control it a little better (i.e. cleaning out temp files, opening the blogs on another computer first).

I'm a little bit more calmer about it now. It simply gets a little frustrating when you're trying to build traffic to a blog and the blog itself is throwing roadblocks up in the process.

Go on, give me your best shot. I can take it. If I couldn't, I wouldn't have created this wonderful little blog that you decided to grace with your presence today.

About that comment moderation thingy: While yes, it does say up above I can take it, I only use it to prevent the occasional miscreant from leaving thoughtless and/or clueless comments.

So remember, all of your comments are greatly appreciated and all answers will be given that personal touch that you come to expect and enjoy.
