Back in May of 2008 and with a little prodding from a friend, I decided to create this nifty little blog that you're currently perusing. The original intent was to find a new home for my musings about my little slice of heaven, the world around me, work, my skewered sense of humor and my adventures in writing.
Over time, it has morphed into what you see before you: a nice niche blog covering the real world, the cyber world (blogging in particular), my slice of heaven (Connecticut), music and my adventures in writing (yah, I know, redundant, but please, bear with me).
About my adventures in writing: over the course of the past four years, my readers have witnessed the terrible growing pains as I tried to apply what I've learned about the craft of writing, with this blog, my second (and last) self published book, and my now closed short story blog entitled Flashing Georgie's Shorts.
I'm having more hits than misses with my writings, manly in the form of two short stories published (Cedar Mountain and Red Stripe) and I recently sold a book to Solstice Publishing, which shows to me that I managed to rise above the insult that I'm proud of to be called: Hack.
I do hope that you enjoy your stay here and that you have taken the liberty of exploring the many categories that make up Cedar's Mountain. Feel free to comment on whatever post that you happen to find interesting, for you see, I enjoy making people think with my writings, and I also enjoy providing a little escapism with my writings. But most important of all, I enjoy being able to get people to read something that they might not otherwise think about reading.
