I'm sorry.
For those of you who were fortunate enough to read my post entitled, "A Sunday Sermon", and were wondering where it suddenly disappeared to, this apology is for you.
After putting it up, I spent all day yesterday thinking about how it wasn't up to my usual high standards, and that I should get rid of it and start all over from scratch.
So on that note, I spent a small part of my afternoon sitting at my local mall with my handy dandy notebook and pen, composing a post that would be destined for Thursday (this being my long week of posting).
Because of me being incredibly hard on myself (perfectionism was/is the bane of my existence), that post will be moved up to today, and short story day will be moved to Wednesday. I hope to be back on my normal schedule on Saturday.

Go on, give me your best shot. I can take it. If I couldn't, I wouldn't have created this wonderful little blog that you decided to grace with your presence today.
About that comment moderation thingy: While yes, it does say up above I can take it, I only use it to prevent the occasional miscreant from leaving thoughtless and/or clueless comments.

Sometimes after I push that button, and my post goes live, I think, uh-oh. Happens a lot actually.

Actually, for where it was originally created and posted (chat room) it was very appropriate.
ReplyDeleteBut after I had posted it here, it seemed to me to be quite dated and a bit juvenile.
I am my harshest critic, and because of this, it does take me quite a while to put something out that meets my expectations.

ReplyDeleteI do often go back and change bits after I have posted it, and have removed 2 posts before, but I haven't for a while. I think it is because I got to that "I need to just post and walk away" stage like I had in the beginning.

My humor has evolved lately into being more sarcastic and needing to play off of someone elses miscues.
Which is a pretty sad state of affairs if you really think about it.
