Coffee songs of choice: Dave Grohl, or Squeeze

  1. Mmmmm... coffee... I'm actually drinking coffee while writing about coffee, which was prompted by reading about coffee on your blog. (The only thing that would make this better is if I were hanging out in a coffee shop, as opposed to sitting behind a desk at work... :))

  2. I used to drink a full pot of coffee a day. Now my stomach can't handle it. Oh, how I miss it so.

  3. Dave Grohl, definitely. :) He looks fun to be around. I think.

  4. Lo ave Z forth Kn ow A time And plaice untill instill
AS WILL injoyed the high life of cheer and stife
So dreaded headed is bedded bleded of bitterness pill
Until Andrews love rekindles whIzz kid bye wife!

  5. lol! Great strip, G!

I haven't had caffeine in years and that comic is reminding me of the buzz I'm missing out on.

  6. Sounds like a bit of a coffee obsession there.

  7. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh cafe, java, coffee, black liquid to get me going, in the morning. sigh.....:)Bea

  8. David: That's a mighty big cup. :D

Lisa: When I first saw this strip back in the 90's (I actually got this as wallpaper), I thought this was the funniest thing I've ever seen for a coffee obsession. Still is to this day.

Libby: I became a coffee drinker way late in life (about mid-30's) and the most I can handle is about six cups a week.

Andrew: Once again, thanks for the free form fiction/poetry. Very intriguing.

Lynn: I first heard about that video back in April and people were go on and on about it so bad that I had to check it out for myself. Glad I did.

Talon: Thanks. Mother Goose and Grimm is one of faves.

    Charles: Just a little. :D

Bea: For me, not so much to get going as more to maintain the status quo. :D

  9. Did someone mention coffee??

Actually I just drink Gold Blend instant coffee. It tastes like cats pee really, but I've drunk it for so long I don't notice anymore.

  10. It's funny, but I've drank so many different types that I actually have no preference.

Or taste for that matter. :D

    Except I won't touch Starbucks.

  11. No coffee but Squeeze YES!!!

  12. I lucked out finding that Squeeze video, because I know videos of songs from that time period were sometimes few and far between.

    Personally, I like Squeeze.

  13. I'll have to send this to my brother, who is 14 going on 40 (I also have one who's 31 going on 13) and loves coffee. He sent me this:

  14. Thats so cute :)

I only just saved myself from binging and went a hot chocolate instead of a second cup this morning.

  15. Cute!
    I remember coffee... I quit in 'o2
The crash always gives me migraimes tho- now I stick to lo-caffienated tea-

  16. R.K.: I love that particular strip, that is so cool!

Like I said, this is one of my personal faves.

MCL: Thanks. I think from time to time, we all want to be exactly like Grimm and just completely immerse ourselves in our favorite things.

Snaggle: I actually drink both tea and coffee. Tea in the morning with my breakfast and coffee later in the morning to keep me semi-functioning.

  17. Always loved Grimm's expressive face. Great comic. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I need my juice in the morning :)

  18. Kelly: Grimm is a perpetual blast to read.

  19. You're right! Love the comic and the videos. Here's another great coffee song -- Java Jive:

  20. Debra: Thanks.

I used to have it as wallpaper on my computer at work many, many years ago.

I'll make sure to check out your video link.

Go on, give me your best shot. I can take it. If I couldn't, I wouldn't have created this wonderful little blog that you decided to grace with your presence today.

About that comment moderation thingy: While yes, it does say up above I can take it, I only use it to prevent the occasional miscreant from leaving thoughtless and/or clueless comments.

So remember, all of your comments are greatly appreciated and all answers will be given that personal touch that you come to expect and enjoy.
