I'm Sorry, But...

Hello.

After I had an extensive meeting this morning, things are almost back to normal. However, during the course of the meeting, a few things were mentioned to me that in turn has caused me to make the decision that I sincerely didn't want to make.

I had to remove Monday's post.

I apologize to one and all for doing this to you. You guys have been there for me time and again and I truly appreciate what good friends you've been to me for the past three years.

I believe very strongly in those words that I wrote on Monday. I'm just sorry that I had to pull the post from my blog.

  1. I miss a day and all the excitement.

Interesting that I pulled a post yesterday myself.

  2. I never did get the chance to read yesterday's post -- I hope things are okay! I guess it must be a good sign that normality is returning. :)

  3. You're doing what's best to ease the situation, G.

And you'll laugh - and I kid you not - my word verification is "purify" :)

  4. David: I haven't voluntarily nuked a post since late 2008, and it really pained me to do it.

If you want to know what the excitement was all about, I will be more than happy to send you a short memo that I wrote for a lawyer relative of mine over the weekend about it.

Charles: You're probably right. However, as much as it pained me to nuke it, it bothers me quite a bit that someone would stoop down to this level.

Even though a recent court case here in CT validated a person being able to criticize their job/supervisor on a social network medium, I didn't really want to test that particular theory out with my job.

    At least not yet.

Lisa: They are to a degree. However, I did have to make some changes to my privacy settings on Facebook as well.

I make you the same offer I'm making to David: I'll be more than happy to e-mail you the short memo I wrote about it. The memo itself is more or less Monday's post.

Talon: "Purify"? Seems that I remember a soul duo from the early 70's that went by the name "Purify".

It probably was for the best, but in any event, it does make me want to circle the wagons at work now.

  5. It's probably for the best. I hope it is all back to normal and working in your favor soon, G.

  6. Lynn: I hope so too. Even though I'm now cleared to go back to work, I'm not really looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.

We'll see how the rest of the week progresses before a judgement call can be made.

Hope that everything is okay, G!

  9. Bruce: It is definitely 100% bullshit. Basically what it means that I now have an even bigger bullseye on my back for people to shoot at.

Not worried about you fulfilling your end of the the contest. You get to it when you can get to it. Sometimes the real world must take precedence over the cyber world.

Mama Z: It's getting there. I'm not a happy camper about how all of this crap went down to begin with. All I want to do is just simply get the hell out of Dodge. Until that happens, I'll just sit there with a shit eatin' grin on my face and MYOB.

No matter how much it hurts.

  11. Jewel: Thanks.

It's about as normal as I'm gonna get for the foreseeable future.

  13. Your blog, your rules, no apologies expected unless you poke us in the eyes ;)

  14. Jane: It should eventually. But there is a certain level of trust that has become permanently broken, and that I think, pains me the most.

R: I know its my blog and my rules. However, I do not like going back on my word.

It bothers me when others do it to me (hence, all the shit that went down since last Thursday was soley because of that reason), so I try like hell not to do it.

I value my friends and my readers, so I wanted to let them know the reason as to why I had to remove the post.

I simply want to treat them like I want to be treated.

  17. Gumby: Absolutely.

I may make another post offering to e-mail people about what was really nuked.

Go on, give me your best shot. I can take it. If I couldn't, I wouldn't have created this wonderful little blog that you decided to grace with your presence today.

About that comment moderation thingy: While yes, it does say up above I can take it, I only use it to prevent the occasional miscreant from leaving thoughtless and/or clueless comments.

So remember, all of your comments are greatly appreciated and all answers will be given that personal touch that you come to expect and enjoy.
